Ashley Giles did come out to the press conference at the end of the day's play and said that he had no points to prove. Whether he was just being diplomatic or not, we would never know. All the same, he would have gone to sleep tonight, a very very satisfied man (as satisfied as a man who has just proven his point). The match isn't over yet and he still has a significant role to play if England has to pickup 10 more wickets. But that shouldn't come in the way of a well-deserved satisfying night's sleep.
