Tons and Victories

The Sri Lankans haven't lost a single game in their last 9 games. Though three of those matches were against the minnows, they have shown how balanced a side they are. Their top order has consistently managed to put runs on the board and that has made a huge difference. Except for the one game against Netherlands, every other game has produced atleast one century from the Sri Lankan top-order batsmen. Tharanga and Jayasuriya have made three each, Mahela Jayawardene has helped himself to two while Dilshan has managed to reach the three-figure mark once. (Incidentally, Tharanga has now become the fastest to make 5 centuries in ODIs in terms of matches played - it too him 30 games)

If the opposing teams fail to get these guys out for smaller scores, they would have a real tough time beating the resurgent islanders.
